I rescued an 8 week old puppy one month after my longtime companion passed away. Her name was “Lynx” which did not suit her, but I didn’t know if she was old enough to respond to it. When I was asked what name to put on her adoption papers and her name tag, I said the first thing that came to mind;:”Lia”; She rescues me every day.
