I once had my hair done
Just for fun
My hair is very straight
So I looked for a new fate

Like so many girls
I wanted real curls
The image I saw was what I meant
So I felt very confident!

After the hours I sat
I wished I had a hat!
I wanted to weep
In the mirror I looked at a sheep!

My hair also looked grayer
So I did a little prayer
Would my boyfriend see
It was really me?

The house did really rock
When my boyfriend was in shock
Our relationship did survive
We became husband and wife
